Customs Clearance



1 Consultation
Our staff will provide on site consultation at any suitable time for the customer. In situations where on site consultation is not possible, online consultation will be provided. Customers will be able to reserve a suitable time for packing service at any time after the consultation.


2 Packing
It is both beneficial for our customers and ourselves to have a list of expected goods to be delivered.

All important documents and precious property including, passports, air tickets, bills, and seals are better kept with the customer. Though customers need not pack and deliver anything by themselves if there are such items that you wish staff not to touch you are welcome to pack it yourself. Our trained and skillful packing staff will use special packing materials to pack your belongings. We will ensure perfection in packing through double checks for safety and security from damage. Additional packing will be applied where needed.


3 Transportation, Customs and Shipping
After transportation and packing generally we move the goods to our warehouse and pack the goods into a wooden box or container. After that, we transport your property to Busan for storage or designated storage by our shipping companies.

Property will be inspected by our staff in Busan or the designated area. Finally we will arrange the necessary documents for the international relocation of your items. Through this process the items are entitled to be shipped and will be put into a schedule to leave (waiting list). Goods will leave in accordance to vessels designated shipping times. This is the first step of shipping. After shipping the Bill of Lading will be issued. Other documents will be sent on to the owners of the items.


4 Sea Transportation
This is a process for transportation of items by shipping. Sea Road specializes in the delivery of customers' items quickly and safely by contracting with foreign shipping companies.


5 Customs Clearance at port of arrival
1. The branches and agents of CIL will inform customers of arrival and customs clearance of items.

2. Customers may receive consultation for documents for customs, confirmation of residence, and the date of DOOR (?) with our staff by telephone or through E-mail.

3. Customers should ascertain whether it is a commissioned custom, if so, Sea Road will deal with the items and deliver it to your home through local agents.


6 Confirmation of delivery
1. Once items have been cleared by customs, they will be transported to storage centers of CIL branches or agents. According to pre determined scheduling items will be delivered to the place designated the customer.

2. Customers are required to sign the confirmation of delivery for completion of transportation.

3. CIL always gives attention to any complaints or suggestion about the service by surveying customer satisfaction.
